Mission Statement

Project HOPE encourages and facilitates collaboration, communication and advocacy among referral resources, education/training providers, employers, and people in our community to dissolve existing disparity and ensure equity in employment and economic opportunities.
What is Project HOPE?
Project HOPE is a city initiative designed to serve as a catalyst that helps service providers, employers and individuals seeking employment build bridges to rewarding, long-term employment. Project HOPE encourages and facilitates collaboration among existing community resources and supports organizations that are expanding resources that share the mission of Project HOPE.
Current Project HOPE Involvement
- Collaborating with local non-profits and service providers
- Engaging businesses
- Participate in Dubuque Works
- Supporting the program, Breaking Barriers/Pre-Employment Strategies
- Exploring alternative education opportunities
- Promote IowaWorks and the Career Readiness Certificate
- Participate in Diversity in the Workplace Committee and Disability Mentoring Day
- Seek grant-funding to support local employment training and programs
- Partnering with Operation New View to expand Earned Income Tax Credit
- Participate in the EITC Funders Network Community Foundation Steering Committee
