[ARCHIVED] Open House on Dec. 18 for Roosevelt Street Water Tower Project

The City of Dubuque Water Department will host an open house meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, to share information and answer questions on the upcoming Roosevelt Street water tower project.

The public is invited to attend the meeting which will be held at the Municipal Services Center at 925 Kerper Court (behind Andersen Windows & Doors on Kerper Blvd.).

The City of Dubuque is proposing the construction of a 1.25 million-gallon, elevated tower along Roosevelt Street, on the north end of the city. The proposed tower will not only improve the City’s ability to store water to meet current and future demands, but also improve water pressures throughout much of the city’s second pressure zone.  The proposed tower will replace the existing water tower in Eagle Point Park.

Information available at the Dec. 18 open house will include the proposed tower design, how the project will improve water pressure for customers and fire suppression, location details, project specifications, how the project will be funded, and an estimated project timeline.

Water department staff and staff from IIW Engineers, the project engineer, will attend the meeting to share information and answer questions.  For additional information, call the City of Dubuque Water Department at 563.589.4291.
