City of Dubuque Awarded $7.7 Million Federal Grant to Improve Flood Protection Measures

The City of Dubuque has been awarded a $7.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to improve flood prevention infrastructure and help protect homes and businesses from future flooding.

The funding will replace the flood gates which protect the city from Mississippi River flooding, as well as provide for new pumps with double the existing pumping capacity, reducing the impacts of heavy rainfall and flooding in the community. The project ...

Dubuque Expected to Receive $1.5 Million Grant to Help Restore Commercial Air Service

The City of Dubuque has been notified by its Congressional representatives that the Dubuque Regional Airport and its partners will receive a $1.5 million grant through the federal government’s Small Community Air Service Development Program.

This will be added to approximately $535,00 in public/private partnership funding aimed at helping improve and enhance local air service at the Dubuque Regional Airport.
