[ARCHIVED] Free Overnight Parking in Iowa and Locust Street Parking Ramps

Dubuque residents and downtown visitors are encouraged to park their vehicles in the City of Dubuque’s Iowa Street or Locust Street Parking Ramps for free overnight on Dec. 9 and 10.

The free parking is offered from 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) until 9 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 10) and then again from 6 p.m. on Thursday until 9 a.m. on Friday.

The City’s Parking Division has opened the parking ramps for free parking to allow residents and downtown shoppers and visitors to move their cars off the streets so the City’s Public Works crews are better able to remove snow from the downtown area overnight.

Residents who normally park their vehicles on the streets are encouraged to move their vehicles to the Iowa or Locust Street Ramps overnight to assist in the snow removal process. Vehicles not removed from the ramps by 9 a.m. the following morning will have to pay for parking.
