[ARCHIVED] Dubuque Police investigate shooting, 1 wounded

Dubuque Police are investigating a shooting this afternoon that left one man wounded

At 2:09 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, Dubuque
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the alley between Jefferson andW. 11th St.’s near the alley’s intersection with Walnut St.  Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old
male victim in the alley suffering from three gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported by Dubuque FireEMS to Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque where he is currently in
surgery.  Prior to going into surgery,the victim told officers that the shooting occurred as the result of an
attempted robbery.  The only descriptionthe victim could provide of the suspects was three masked males.

 

Officers and investigators are currently processing the
crime scene and the investigation into the shooting continues.  At this time the suspects have not beenidentified and remain at large.
