[ARCHIVED] Shots Fired into Home

At 12:38 a.m. on September 27th, 2017, Dubuque Police responded to the 2100 block of Jackson Street on the report of gunfire.

At 12:38 a.m. on September 27th, 2017, Dubuque Police responded to the 2100 block of Jackson Street on the report of gunfire. While officers were searching the area, Lacee G. Burzlaff, 23, of 2209 Washington Street reported someone had shot the apartment she resides in multiple times. Officers located several shell casings in the area immediately north of 2209 Washington Street. Bullet damage was also located on the north side of the house, as well as on fences at 2201 & 2203 Washington Street. Several intact bullets were also recovered inside 22009 Washington Street. Three adults were home at the time of the shooting but were not injured. The investigation is ongoing with no arrest at this time. This is not believed to be a random act.
