[ARCHIVED] After School Sports for Grades 4 and 5 - BASKETBALL and TRACK

The Leisure Services Department provides an After School Sports program to grade 4 and grade 5 students, conducted at a number of Dubuque public elementary schools. (Sports programs meet for 90 minutes following school dismissal.)

BASKETBALL game schedules have been emailed to parents.  Due to NO SCHOOL, no basketball games were held on Monday, March 5th or Tuesday, March 6th.  Makeup game schedules have been emailed to parents.    

TRACK registration for grades 4 and 5 is now available.  Practices will meet for 90 minutes following school dismissal and will emphasize learning track fundamentals, team concepts, sportsmanship, participation, improved healthy/fitness and fun.  Our track program will conclude with a City-wide track meet on Tuesday, May 8th at Dubuque Senior High School, Dalzell Field.  Practices will be held twice per week beginning the week of April 16th, depending on school field and gym availability.  Each participant will attend up to 6 practices, subject to school/coach conflicts.  Registered participants will be emailed a practice schedule; if you have not received a practice schedule by Thursday, April 12th, please contact our office.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, APRIL 6TH OR EARLIER IF THE SCHOOLS' MAXIMUM IS REACHED.  Fee is $20.
