[ARCHIVED] Fall Scholarships - Available on Tuesday, September 5th

The City of Dubuque Leisure Services Department is offering Fall 2017 Scholarships for resident low-income qualifying families beginning on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH.  Completed forms must be submitted in person* at the Leisure Services Department or the Multicultural Family Center to confirm the scholarship (*not accepting mail in, e-mail or drop-in mail slot).


Up to 150 families will each be awarded $125 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded scholarship "credits" which can be used towards programs and services offered through the Leisure Services Department.  The scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.  Families will have the option to use their "credits" to pay for full price recreation classes/programs, season pool passes, water playground/water slide(s)/private pool party rentals, pavilion rentals, Eagle Point Park season pass, Pet Park season pass, and other services provided through the Leisure Services registration system.  Scholarship monies/"credits" may not be used for daily admission into the pools, Bunker Hill Golf Course fees, daily entrance fee for Eagle Point Park, any other City of Dubuque services, as well as a person living at address other than one listed on the scholarship application.  (NOTE:  Scholarship monies/"credits" may only be used for listed participants living at address on scholarship application.)
