[ARCHIVED] Public Info Meeting on Millwork District Streetscape Project

The City of Dubuque will hold a public information meeting on the Historic Millwork District Streetscape Project on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Neighborhood Resource Center at Prescott Elementary School at 1151 White Street.

The meeting will include a project overview at 6:20 p.m. The goal of the streetscape project is to rebuild the district's streets with high-quality streetscapes (street pavement and curbs, along a sustainable sidewalk system); modern utilities (replacement of sanitary sewer and water services; infrastructure for a district-wide energy plant); on-street parking; artistic elements (landscaping or stations for public art); and stormwater management features. Additional information on the project timeline and funding will also be presented.

The public is invited to attend to learn more about this exciting project and to provide input on how this neighborhood can be “transformed” into an area where citizens can live, work, and play in a common area.
