[ARCHIVED] Narcotics Search Warrant Results in 3 Arrests

On Friday, August 28th, 2015, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Dubuque Drug Task Force, Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement and Dubuque Police Department Tactical Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 2301 & 2301½ White Street, Dubuque, Iowa.

When entry was made to 2301 White Street, Stacey O. Stewart, 25, 2301½ White Street, was located in a bedroom with his 5 year old son. During a search of the bedroom, 50 individually packaged bags of marijuana were located inside a larger plastic bag. Stewart was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, Child Endangerment and Possession with Intent to Deliver within 1,000 feet of a Protected Area.

Upon making entry to 2301½ White Street, Funmisho D. Smith Jr., 19, 2301 White Street, was located inside while tenant Robert L. Wilson, 31, was located outside sleeping in a vehicle. During a search of Wilson’s apartment, approximately 13.9 grams of cocaine and over a ¼ pound of marijuana were located. Also located were digital scales, drug packaging and a significant amount of U.S. currency. Smith was placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and Cocaine. Wilson was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Cocaine with Intent to Deliver. Additionally, both Smith and Wilson were charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver within 1,000 feet of a Protected Area.

Possession of Marijuana and Cocaine with Intent to Deliver are both Class C Felonies, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, along with a 5 year enhancement for occurring within 1,000 feet of a protected area.

Child Endangerment is an Aggravated Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 2 years in prison.
