[ARCHIVED] Fall 2015 Swim Lessons / Adult Lap Swim & Waterwalking at the Hempstead High School Pool

The Leisure Services Department is sponsoring swimming lessons for ages 1-3 and 6+. Aquatots is a class for ages 1-3, where a parent and child can share in the water experience! Classes are held on Sunday afternoons from 12:45-1:15 p.m. at Hempstead High School through November 1st. Fee is $22 for resident; $25 for non-resident. (UPDATE: Aquatots is FULL.)

Swimming lessons for age 6 and older are also held at Hempstead High School on Sunday afternoons at 1:30, 2:10 and 2:50 p.m. through November 1st. Fee is $17 for resident; $20 for non-resident.

The Leisure Services Department offers Adapted Aquatic lessons for mentally and physically disabled individuals. One-on-one instruction arranged w/pool personnel or integration into scheduled lessons w/an instructor aide for individualized attention as needed.

Adults may also continue their lap swimming and/or waterwalking activity from this past summer at the Hempstead High School swimming pool on Sunday afternoons through and including Sunday, November 1st from 12:00 noon to 1:25 p.m. Cost is $4 or free if a 2015 season pool pass holder. (NOTE: There is NO OPEN SWIMMING during the fall at the Hempstead High School swimming pool.)
