[ARCHIVED] Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet

Disposal of prescription and over the counter medications including vitamins, supplements, and herbals, as well as medication samples.

The Dubuque Drug Task Force, Dubuque Area Substance Abuse Coalition & the Dubuque County Safe Youth Coalition have planned a project that will allow individuals to "clean out thier medicine cabinets" and properly dispose of old prescription and over the counter medications including vitamins, supplements, and herbals, as well as medication samples. Disposal is free, convenient & confidential.

FOR YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR PRIVACY
1) Keep all substances in their original containers, if possible.
2) All liquid containers must be sealed in leak proof clear plastic bags.
3) Mark out any identifying information on prescription bottles.
4) Unidentified medications will be accepted—NO QUESTIONS ASKED

WE WILL ACCEPT:
1) Prescription and over the counter medications including vitamins,
supplements, and herbals
2) Medication samples

WE CANNOT ACCEPT:
1) Needles, sharps, syringes with needles
2) Aerosols or pressurized containers
3) Thermometers
4) Bloody or Infectious Waste
5) Hydrogen Peroxide
