On May 1st, 2015, at 5:45 p.m. Dubuque Police responded to 2425 Roosevelt Street on the report of a man down inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers forced entry into the home and located two deceased individuals inside.
Both individuals appeared to have died from gunshot wounds. They are identified as Andrew J. Birch, 27, and Miranda M Hogan, 20, both of that address. The bodies of Birch and Hogan were ultimately transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies. This death investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when the Medical Examiner determines the official cause of death. The general public is not in any danger related to this incident.
