[ARCHIVED] Arson Reported at Dick's Sporting Goods Store

On July 24th, 2014, at 11:45 a.m., Dubuque Police and Fire Departments responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods at Kennedy Mall (555 JFK Rd.) on a report of arson.

On July 24th, 2014, at 11:45 a.m., Dubuque Police and Fire Departments responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods at Kennedy Mall (555 JFK Rd.) on a report of arson. Prior to emergency responders’ arrival the fire was extinguished and it’s believed the suspect or suspects fled the immediate area. No injuries were reported but property damage and lost revenue (due to the store being closed for approximately 2 hours) will likely exceed $3,000 as assessment continues. A joint investigation between the Dubuque Police and Dubuque Fire Marshal’s Office is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (563) 588-0714 or 800-747-0117 – callers can remain anonymous and still receive a monetary award for information leading to an arrest.
