[ARCHIVED] Dubuque Police Seeking Assistance in Identifying Hit & Run Driver/Vehicle

On March 16th, 2014, at 6:07 p.m., Dubuque Police and Fire/EMS responded to 16th and Main Street on the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

On March 16th, 2014, at 6:07 p.m., Dubuque Police and Fire/EMS responded to 16th and Main Street on the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim was located lying in the street, suffering from multiple injuries. The offending vehicle, described as a silver or gray 4-door sedan had left the scene without stopping to identify or render aid. It was last seen traveling northbound in the 1700 block of Madison Street (Main changes to Madison at 17th Street). The vehicle may have minor damage toward the front end on the driver’s side. The injured pedestrian, Richard A. Heim, 64, of Dubuque, was transported to Mercy Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Dubuque Police are asking for assistance in identifying the offending driver and/or vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call 563-589-4415 and request the information be relayed to Officer Nevers or Officer Mihalakis.
