[ARCHIVED] Public Assistance Sought for Information on Dog Involved in Biting Incident

The City of Dubuque Health Services Department is seeking information regarding a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Sundayafternoon, March 9, on S. Grandview Avenue.


The dog is described as medium size (about 35 pounds), white with black patches, pointy ears, long hair, resembling a shelty or shelty mix . The dog was being walked by white male, approxmatily 60 years old, about 6 feet tall, gray hair, a large gray goatee, who was wearing a tan trench coat. The dog bit a minor on Sunday, 4/9/14, at approximately 3:45 p.m. The bite happened in the area of South Grandview Avenue by the Highway 61/151 overpass.

The Health Department needs the public's assistance in finding this dog to verify the dog’s health status and vaccination history. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Health Services Department at 589-4185 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. or the Law Enforcement Center at 589-4415 after hours or on the weekend.
