[ARCHIVED] LEISURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT - 2014 OPENING DATE FOR FLORA & SUTTON SWIMMING POOLS

The Leisure Services Department announces that the tentative 2014 opening date for the Flora Park and Nicholas J. Sutton Swimming Pools is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th. See below for more information:


During the Memorial Day holiday weekend, we will have special pre-season hours for our swimming pools. Adult swim/water walking will be from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; with open swimming from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Pre-season pool hours are as follows:

Tuesday, May 27th through Friday, May 30th, adult swim/water walking from 7-9 a.m., adult swim/water walking/preschool playgroup from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; with open swimming from 4-8 p.m. (On Friday, May 30th, Sutton Pool evening swimming only - Flora Pool closed for private party.)

Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, adult swim/water walking from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; with open swimming from 1-5 p.m. and adult swim/water walking from 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Monday, June 2nd through Friday, June 6th, adult swim/water walking from 7-9 a.m., adult swim/water walking/preschool playgroup from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; with open swimming from 4-8 p.m. (On Friday, June 6th, Sutton Pool evening swimming only - Flora Pool closed for private party.)

Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th, adult swim/water walking from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; with open swimming from 1-5 p.m. and adult swim/water walking from 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Beginning on Monday, June 9th, regular hours of operation are as follows for the Nicholas J. Sutton Swimming Pool through Saturday, August 16th (date subject to change):

Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. (CLOSED FOR EVENING HOURS DUE TO PRIVATE PARTIES.)


Beginning on Monday, June 9th, regular hours of operation are as follows for the Flora Park Swimming Pool through Saturday, August 23rd (date subject to change):

Sunday through Thursday, 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. (CLOSED FOR EVENING HOURS DUE TO PRIVATE PARTIES.)


Please contact the Leisure Services Department for adult lap swim and waterwalking times at the Flora Park and Nicholas J. Sutton Swimming Pools.
