[ARCHIVED] Traffic Enforcement Project Results

On Monday, 09/09/13, during midday, six (6) officers working extra duty and two (2) officers on-duty participated in a traffic enforcement project for four (4) hours, concentrating their efforts in some west and south areas of town.

On Monday, 09/09/13, during midday, six (6) officers working extra duty and two (2) officers on-duty participated in a traffic enforcement project for four (4) hours, concentrating their efforts in some west and south areas of town. The specific locations were Middle Road near the Bergfeld Recreation Area, Dodge Street near Seippel Rd, and Fremont Avenue near Knob Hill.

The project resulted in the following enforcement activity:

49 Vehicle stops were conducted
56 Total citations issued
47 Speed citations issued
3 Registration Violation citations issued
3 No Insurance citations issued
2 Seatbelt citations issued
1 Driver’s License Violation citation issued
4 Miscellaneous warnings

Speed citation breakdown:

Middle Road (11 speed citations: 35 mph zone; average 49.8 mph; fastest 58 mph)
Dodge Street (16 speed citations: 55 mph zone; average 68.6 mph; fastest 80 mph)
Fremont Avenue (20 speed citations: 30 mph zone; average 41.9 mph; fastest 46 mph)
