[ARCHIVED] MILLER RIVERVIEW CAMPGROUND ANNOUNCES OPENING DATE & RESERVATION PROCEDURE FOR THREE MAJOR HOLIDAYS

Miller Riverview Park, located at 1851 Admiral Sheehy Drive (adjacent to the Mystique Casino), offers camping, picnic and recreation areas, walking and biking path, and provides a great view of the Mississippi River traffic.

The Miller Riverview Campground will open for the season on TUESDAY, APRIL 15TH, weather and Mississippi River level permitting.

Reservations for 2014 campsites at the Miller Riverview Park will be done on a LOTTERY BASIS this year for the Memorial Day, Labor Day and July 4th holidays. (NOTE: July 4th requires a two-night reservation minimum.)

On SATURDAY, APRIL 12TH, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Five Flags Civic Center, Majestic Room (located at 405 Main Street), campers may fill out drawing forms (one form per person for each of the holidays you wish to reserve). Forms will be placed in a hat for each holiday weekend. Persons making the camping reservation must be 18 years of age or older.

Campers do not have to stay the entire time from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The actual drawing will begin at 12:00 NOON. No drawing forms will be accepted after 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 12th. CAMPERS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE TIME THEIR NAME IS DRAWN TO RESERVE THEIR CAMPSITE, UNTIL ALL SITES ARE FILLED.

The July 4th holiday requests will be drawn first and reserved in order pulled, followed by the Memorial Day holiday and then the Labor Day holiday. Individuals must be present at the time of the drawing to select the desired campsite/holiday. Campers may fill out a drawing form for one, two and/or three holidays. One campsite may be reserved per person, per holiday.

Full payment is required at the time the camping reservation is made. Cash, check, MasterCard or Visa will be accepted.

Camping reservations after the lottery for holiday openings and all other dates in the 2014 season will be taken beginning TUESDAY, APRIL 15TH at the Miller Riverview Campground in person OR by telephone at 563-589-4238.
