On July 23rd, 2013, Dubuque Police received information regarding an individual identified as Randall Paul Trenary, 47, of 1505 13th Street, Hazel Green, WI. The information indicated Trenary allegedly took photographs of nude, female minors, and also shared nude images with them. Police were also made aware of Trenary being a convicted sex offender and that some of the above referenced activity occurred in Dubuque.

Dubuque Police and Sheriff’s Office Investigators identified and interviewed several female minors who confirmed they participated in several photography sessions with Trenary over the past several months, in and around Dubuque County. The females also indicated Trenary would often ask them to send nude images of themselves to him via cellular phone. He also allegedly asked them if they would participate in nude photography sessions with him.

Trenary made initial contact with most of the females via two Facebook pages: Buddy Rand Trenary or Trenary Photography LLC. He allegedly made several promises to the females about modeling careers and also bought them clothing, gift cards and cell phones.

With the assistance of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Hazel Green Police Department, evidence was obtained that corroborated the females’ statements. Trenary was located in Dubuque on July 29th and arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Minors. This charge is a Class C Felony punishable by up to ten years in prison, and a fine between $1,000 and $10,000. Trenary is being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.

Anyone with information pertaining to Trenary is asked to contact Corporal Brendan Welsh at 563-589-4430 or Captain Scott Engleman at 563-589-4467.

As with any criminal case, charges filed are allegations and suspects are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
