[ARCHIVED] Eight More Arrested In Shooting Investigations

In addition to 3 previous arrests pertaining to the first 2 shootings on June 10th, Dubuque Police have arrested 8 more suspects believed to have been involved in the first disturbance/shooting in the 1200 block of Iowa Street.

In addition to 3 previous arrests pertaining to the first 2 shootings on June 10th, Dubuque Police have arrested 8 more suspects believed to have been involved in the first disturbance/shooting in the 1200 block of Iowa Street. Additional warrants remain active for other subjects believed to be involved, and more arrests are anticipated. Based on the ongoing investigations, Police have reason to believe the first and most recent shooting are related and involved many of the same suspects.

The most recent arrests took place overnight and involved the following suspects:

Davon D. Harrison 04/06/93 of 380 ½ W. Locust St.
Christopher A. Sharpe II 11/04/89 of 380 ½ W. Locust St.
Principal L. Springer 03/22/86 of 259 E. 14th St.
Delon Runnels 09/18/90 – no permanent address
Joseph L. Wright 12/24/88 of 17262 John Deere Rd.
Derrick D. Moore 09/01/94 of 1012 Wilson St.
Sylvester J. Durrah 03/11/84 of 720 Rhomberg Ave.
Joseph R. Lewis Jr. 10/26/81 of 758 Wilson St.

All 8 suspects are currently charged with Riot and are being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. Riot is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a fine between $625 and $6,250 and up to 2 years in prison.

As with any criminal case, the charges filed are allegations and any suspect(s) charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
