[ARCHIVED] Emergency Personnel Respond to Meth-related Structure Fire

On May 30th, 2013, at 11:43 p.m., Dubuque Police and Fire personnel responded to 2613 Central Avenue on the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, officers assisted residents Virginia D. Allison, 90, and Cory L. Cole, 46, out of the home.

On May 30th, 2013, at 11:43 p.m., Dubuque Police and Fire personnel responded to 2613 Central Avenue on the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, officers assisted residents Virginia D. Allison, 90, and Cory L. Cole, 46, out of the home. No serious injuries were reported but the subsequent investigation determined the fire was caused by attempted methamphetamine manufacturing. Investigators with the Dubuque Drug Task Force responded and executed a search warrant during which evidence of methamphetamine production was seized. The investigation remains ongoing.
