[ARCHIVED] After-School Track & Field for Grades 4 and 5 (Practice schedules released April 5th)

The Leisure Services Department provides an after-school sports program to fourth and fifth grade students conducted at a number of Dubuque public elementary schools.

AFTER-SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD.  This intramural program will meet for 90 minutes following school dismissal and will emphasize learning track and field fundamentals, team concepts, sportsmanship, participation, improved health/fitness and fun! Practices will be held Monday-Thursday (twice per week) beginning the week of April 10th. Each participant will attend up to six practices and conclude with an City-wide track meet held at Dubuque Senior High School, Dalzell Field on Thursday, May 4th.  (Make-up track date will be Friday, May 5th, in the event of a cancelation due to the weather.)  The deadline to register for the After-school track program was 5:00 pm on Friday, March 31st.  Track practice schedules will be emailed to parents on Wednesday, April 5th.  

Throughout the calendar school year, the Leisure Services Department offers after-school sports (soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball and track) to grade 4 and grade 5 students.
