[ARCHIVED] Windsor Fire Confirmed Suspicious

On Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, at 3:45 p.m., Dubuque Fire & Police Departments responded to a structure fire at 2200 Windsor Avenue.

On Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, at 3:45 p.m., Dubuque Fire & Police Departments responded to a structure fire at 2200 Windsor Avenue. The occupants of the residence were able to evacuate uninjured. Dubuque Fire personnel removed two dogs from the burning structure, one was deceased. The fire appears to have originated in the basement and caused extensive damage to the house. Based on observations and evidence, the fire has been ruled suspicious and a criminal investigation is underway. The investigation is being conducted by the Dubuque Fire Marshal, the Department of Human Services and the Dubuque Police Department – specifically the Dubuque Drug Task Force. More information will be released when authorized.

As with all criminal cases, any charges filed are allegations and any suspect(s) charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
