[ARCHIVED] First Special Olympics Play Activity Day

Special Olympics Iowa, Variety Club, the Children’s Charity and the Ronald McDonald Charities are hosting the first Special Olympics Play Activity Day on Saturday, February 28th to be held at Hempstead High School, 3715 Pennsylvania Avenue, Dubuque, Iowa, 52002, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Registration will begin at 9:15 a.m. Play Activity Days are for children 2 to 8 years old who do not yet compete in Special Olympics. This program is to help increase young children’s strength and coordination for sports and to introduce children to group play and the cooperation and awareness of rules that it requires.

Play Activity Days are about games and activities, rather than competition. Each child will receive a Play Activity Day t-shirt. (as well as chaperones, teachers, parents, volunteers, et cetera)

There is NO cost to participate.
