The City of Dubuque Office of Equity and Human Rights is now accepting applications for the Dubuque Equitable Community Grants Program.
The Dubuque Equitable Community Grants Program will award two grants of up to $5,000 to eligible non-profit organizations, businesses, clubs, or groups of passionate residents to support programs, activities, or services which help promote equity in the Dubuque community. Proposals must advance equity relating to one of the City of Dubuque’s five-year goals:
• Robust Local Economy
• Vibrant Community
• Livable Neighborhoods and Housing
• Financially Responsible, High-Performance City Organization
• Sustainable Environment
• Partnership for a Better Dubuque
• Diversity Arts, Culture, Parks, and Recreation Experiences and Activities
• Connected Community
Projects must target residents or businesses located in the city of Dubuque, though it is acceptable for the reach to extend into Dubuque County or the greater Tri-State area. Proposals aimed at serving traditionally unengaged or underserved populations are encouraged. All grant applications must also include an education and/or engagement component. Projects which are awarded grants will be required to be completed by June 30, 2024.
Applications are due Sunday, March 31, and will be reviewed by the City’s Equity and Human Rights Office and the City of Dubuque Equity and Human Rights Commission.
