The Leisure Services Department provides an After School Sports program to grade 4 and grade 5 students, conducted at a number of Dubuque public elementary schools. (Sports programs meet for 90 minutes following school dismissal.)
BASKETBALL registration is available online only. Registration forms will be distributed to grade 4 and 5 students after Winter Break. Practices (90 minutes following school dismissal) will be held twice per week on a combination of Monday through Thursday dates beginning the week of January 29th, depending on school gym availability. Each participant will attend up to six practices, subject to school/coach conflicts and/or weather and play in one game against another school. Registration deadline is Friday, January 19th. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis or until each school's maximum is reached. Fee is $20.
