[ARCHIVED] Dubuque Auxiliary Police Receive DRA Grant

Lt. Marty Steil, the Dubuque Police commander in charge of the Auxiliary Police, would like to thank the Dubuque Racing Association for the $5807 grant recently issued to the organization.

The grant will be used to replace outdated flashlights, traffic vests and other equipment used by the Auxiliary Police. Members of the Auxiliary Police, an entirely volunteer organization, donate significant amounts of time each year as they assist the Dubuque Police on major calls and special events. Their willingness to volunteer results in reduced overtime cost to the Police Department/City and an increase in the availability of sworn DPD Officers.

Thanks DRA!
