The Leisure Services Department and the Multicultural Family Center invite everyone to join us for the Juneteenth Celebration which will take place on Saturday, June 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Comiskey Park, located at 24th and Jackson Street.
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement.
Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE event and is encouraged to participate in this cultural celebration. Please join us for live music, displays, bounce house, children's activities and food.
