The Leisure Services Department is offering swimming lessons this Fall at the Hempstead High School swimming pool.
Swim lessons for ages 6+ will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning on Sunday, September 14th through and including November 2nd at 1:30, 2:10 and 2:50 p.m. Aquatots (for ages 1-3 w/parent) will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning on Sunday, September 14th
through and including November 2nd at 12:45-1:15 p.m.
The following swim skill levels will be offered: Aquatots, Beginner I, Beginner II, Advanced beginner I, Advanced beginner II, Intermediate and Swimmer. Fee is $17 for Beginner I-Swimmer if City resident and $20 if non-resident. Fee is $22 for Aquatots if City resident and $25 if non-resident.
Our Fall 2014 brochures have arrived with ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY taking place the week of August 25th. Beginning on Tuesday, September 2nd, we will be accepting in-person, mail, fax and email Fall class registrations.
Adapted Aquatics is also available for mentally and physically disabled individuals. One-on-one instruction will be arranged with pool personnel or integration into scheduled lessons with an instructor aide for individualized attention as needed.
