With our swimming lessons completed for the summer, the Leisure Services Department will be offering additional swimming lessons in our Fall 2014 brochure at the Hempstead High School swimming pool.
Swim lessons for ages 6 on up will be held on Sunday afternoons tentatively beginning on Sunday, September 14th through and including November 2nd at 1:30, 2:10 and 2:50 p.m. Aquatots (for ages 1-3 w/parent) will be held on Sunday afternoons tentatively beginning on Sunday, September 14th through and including November 2nd at 12:45-1:15 p.m.
Our Fall 2014 brochures will be available on Friday, August 22nd, with ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY beginning on Monday, August 25th. Beginning on Tuesday, September 2nd, we will be accepting in-person, mail, fax and email Fall class registrations.
The following swim skill levels will be offered: Aquatots, Beginner I, Beginner II, Advanced beginner I, Advanced beginner II, Intermediate and Swimmer. Fee is $17 for Beginner I-Swimmer if City resident and $20 if non-resident. Fee is $22 for Aquatots if City resident and $25 if non-resident.)
Adapted Aquatics is also available for mentally and physically disabled individuals. One-on-one instruction will be arranged with pool personnel or integration into scheduled lessons with an instructor aide for individualized attention as needed.
