On September 5th, 2012, the Dubuque Police, along with Dubuque Animal Control, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol conducted a multi-agency traffic enforcement project that focused on the City of Dubuque’s West side.
On September 5th, 2012, the Dubuque Police, along with Dubuque Animal Control, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol conducted a multi-agency traffic enforcement project that focused on the City of Dubuque’s West side. The project focused on the enforcement of laws governing animal/pet compliance and traffic violations in the area.
In addition to enforcement vehicles, bicycle teams from the Dubuque Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing Division also participated and focused on the areas around Kennedy Mall, Bergfeld Recreational area, Asbury Plaza and the JFK corridor.
The project was operational from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during which officers from the above agencies issued both citations and warnings. The specific number & nature of offenses were as follows:
