The Leisure Services Department provides an after-school sports program to fourth and fifth grade students conducted at a number of Dubuque public elementary schools.
AFTER-SCHOOL BASKETBALL is offered in the winter of 2014, beginning the week of January 27th (with the exception of the Kennedy School Girls Program which began practice on Tuesday, January 21st.) BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW COMPLETE (deadline was Friday, January 10th) AND PRACTICE SCHEDULES WERE MAILED OUT ON JANUARY 21ST TO STUDENTS' HOMES AND WILL BE FAXED OUT TO THE SCHOOLS ON JANUARY 22ND AND JANUARY 23RD.
AFTER-SCHOOL TRACK will be offered in this Spring. Registration forms will be sent to the Dubuque Community School District for distribution in mid-March. Students in grades 4 and 5 will receive the registration form from their teacher on Monday, March 10th.
AFTER-SCHOOL FLAG FOOTBALL will be offered in the Fall. Registration forms will be available late August for students in grades 4 and 5.
