On July 11th, 2012, the Dubuque Police, along with the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol conducted a multi-agency safety enforcement project on the City's west side.
On July 11th, 2012, the Dubuque Police, along with the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol conducted a multi-agency traffic enforcement project on the City’s west side. The project focused on speeding and other traffic related issues in the area.
Additionally there were three separate two-officer bike teams from the Dubuque Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing Division, along with the Community Resource Officers. They patrolled the areas around Kennedy Mall, Bergfeld recreational area, Asbury Plaza and the JFK Road corridor.
The project was operational from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and officers from the above agencies issued both traffic citations and warnings. The specific number & nature of offenses were as follows:
