Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the most visible part of the police department. Comprised of five shifts that provide continuous coverage by uniformed officers in marked patrol vehicles, Patrol is the backbone of the Dubuque Police Department. Patrol officers provide the initial response to all calls for service that are received by the Emergency Communications Center.

Common requests made to the Patrol Division include:

• Extra Attention Request
  Request extra attention to a specific area.
  
  
• Residential Security Check
  Request police to check the security of your home while you are out of town for an extended time.
  
  
• Ride Along
  Ride along with a Dubuque police officer.
  
  
• Submit a Tip
