Media Services Division (formerly Cable TV)

The Media Services Division oversees and ensures compliance of the cable television franchise agreement with the cable company. It also operates the local government access stations, CityChannel Dubuque and CityChannel Graphics, both available to local cable subscribers.  CityChannel Dubuque also streams live 24/7 on the Internet.

Besides providing live coverage of City Council and Zoning Advisory Commission meetings, CityChannel Dubuque (Mediacom channel 8 or digital 117.2 and ImOn channel 5) produces a variety of informational and cultural programming about local government and Dubuque.  CityChannel Graphics (Mediacom channel 80 or digital 117.3 and ImOn channel 6) makes City graphic announcements, program listings, and downtown weather information available around the clock, accompanied by audio from the local NOAA weather radio station.
