INCIDENT TYPE: Fire contained to a freezer
ADDRESS/LOCATION: Aldi Foods 2160 Holliday Dr. 


Fire alarm at Aldi's.  On arrival the first crew found the building full of smoke.  Crews forced entry and extinguished a fire in a display freezer on the sales floor.  One sprinkler head activated during the fire and the fire damage was contained to the appliance and one other freezer, however smoke permeated the store.  
The cause of the fire is under investigation but appears to have originated in the freezer mechanism from a malfunction. No injuries reported and property damage is minimal.  Health department representatives will be working with Aldi to determine damages to contents.
