Dubuque Pool Closures and Doggie Dip Schedule

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque’s Sutton and Flora public swimming pools are scheduled to close soon for the 2019 summer season. Following the final day of public swimming, each pool will host a Doggie Dip.

The last day for public swimming at the Nicholas J. Sutton swimming pool is Friday, Aug. 16. The last day for public swimming at the Flora Park swimming pool is Friday, Aug. 23. 

Following the final day of public swimming, the family dog is invited to take a dip in Sutton Pool on Saturday, Aug. 17, and in Flora Pool on Saturday, Aug. 24. Dogs must be on a leash at all times until they are in the swimming pool (including the pool deck and grass area). A $5 admission fee per dog includes access for immediate family members. Established time frames by weight class include:

• Dogs under 30 lbs.: 10-11 a.m.
• Dogs between 31-60 lbs.: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Dogs 61 lbs. and larger: 1-2 p.m.
