On July 10, 2019, at approximately 1:48 PM, officers were dispatched to Kohl’s, 2595 N.W. Arterial, for a subject attempting to pass a fake $100 bill. A plainclothes officer attempted to make contact with the suspect in the parking lot as he entered a vehicle.  The suspect and two others then fled in the vehicle from the parking lot, driving recklessly onto the N.W. Arterial and then onto Dodge St. Traffic cameras were used to follow the suspects as they drove recklessly and dangerously eastbound on Dodge St. An officer successfully deployed Stop Sticks near Grandview Ave, which caused the vehicle to stop near Dodge and Locust St. The three subjects then fled into the wooded area on the south side of Dodge St. All three were apprehended a short time later without incident.
