May 9, 2019 -- For Immediate Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque Mayor Roy D. Buol has proclaimed the week of May 13-19, 2019, as Bike to Work Week in Dubuque. The Jule invites participants to ride the bus and utilize its “Rack and Ride” program for free during Bike to Work Week.
The Jule’s Rack and Ride Program allows bus riders to bike to a bus stop, place their bike on a rack on the front of the bus, utilize public transit for part of their trip, and finish the remainder on their bicycle.
During Bike to Work Week, bicyclists who utilize the bicycle racks on The Jule fixed route buses will be able ride the bus for free! Need help planning your route, or finding the nearest bus stop? Check out the Jule’s MyRide tool at http://myride.cityofdubuque.org.
The City of Dubuque encourages the use of bicycles as a means of transportation. The Tri-State Trail Vision Plan, Sustainable Dubuque vision, the Dubuque Bike Coop, and other community initiatives and organizations are coordinating efforts to make Dubuque a more bicycle-friendly community for all citizens.
