City of Dubuque Delays Wednesday and Thursday Trash and Recycling Collections

Due to dangerous temperatures, the City of Dubuque Public Works Department will not collect trash, recycling, or food scraps/yard debris on Wednesday, Jan. 30, or Thursday Jan. 31.

Instead, Wednesday collections will be made on Saturday, Feb. 2.  Crews will start to collecting Thursday routes (including food scraps/yard debris) on Friday, Feb. 1, and will continue until all Thursday routes are collected. Any Thursday collections not made on Friday should be left out until collected.

As a reminder, collection items should be set out by 6 a.m. and placed in a shoveled-out, street-side “windrow” notch, not on the sidewalk behind a car, snow pile, or windrow.  For additional information, contact the City of Dubuque Public Works Department at 563.589.4250.
