New CityChannel Dubuque Programming

This is a notice of some new programs of interest from the City of Dubuque Cable TV Division coming up on CityChannel Dubuque (cable channel 8 or digital 117.2) and on the City’s website.

Premiering tonight (Monday, January 14) at 7:30 p.m. is a Southwest Arterial construction review that examines the work done during the past two construction seasons (2017 & 2018).  This program is 17 minutes in length and really shows how this much-anticipated highway project is progressing.

Tomorrow is the ten-year anniversary of the announcement that IBM was going to open a technology center in Dubuque.  We went back to the HD recordings from that cold January day and re-edited the program with the higher quality video.  “The IBM Dubuque Announcement” is this week’s installment in our From the Archives showcase and will air tomorrow at 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Friday at 2 a.m., and Sunday at 5 p.m.

In a brief ceremony at the Grand River Center late last month, the City of Dubuque and U. S. Army Corps of Engineers signed an agreement for a waterfront partnership that will examine possible improvements to our water resources.  That program, about 19 minutes in length, will next air on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

This morning we recorded a program in which Assistant City Engineer Bob Schiesl looks ahead to the 2019 work planned for the Southwest Arterial.  Look for that sometime next week on CityChannel Dubuque and our website.
