DUBUQUE, Iowa – To ring in the new year, CityChannel Dubuque will once again present 14 historic shows in the “From the Archives” New Year’s Day Marathon.
Beginning at noon on January 1, 2019, CityChannel Dubuque will air 14 consecutive programs from the archives collection, the earliest of them from 1986 and the most recent from 2014. The marathon will air on CityChannel Dubuque (cable channel 8 or digital 117.2) and will also stream live on the City’s website at
www.cityofdubuque.org/media.

This collection of historic video presents a variety of events and projects that have shaped Dubuque over time. As local residents have watched the Southwest Arterial/US 52 project progress in recent years, two of the programs in the marathon will remind them of the Highway 61/151 project that changed the city a few decades ago.
“From the Archives” has aired weekly, year-round on CityChannel Dubuque since June 2014. Each week a different episode airs on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Fridays at 2 a.m., and Sundays at 5 p.m.
