City Health Department Seeking Dog Involved in Biting Incident

DUBUQUE, Iowa — The City of Dubuque Health Services Department is seeking information regarding a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Saturday, May 19, 2018 between 7:30 and 8:00 PM at the Primrose Street and Davenport Street intersection. The dog was running loose at the time of the incident. The dog ran off behind the Davenport Street houses and towards the wooded area after the bite occurred. The dog is described as having speckled white and gray fur with a black tail, weighing approximately 30-40 lbs. The dog was also described as having short legs with a long body.
 
The Health Department needs the public's assistance in finding this dog to verify the dog’s health status and vaccination history. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Health Services Department at 589-4185 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or the Law Enforcement Center at 589-4415 after hours or on the weekend.
