Public Invited to Information Meeting for City of Dubuque Brownfield Cleanup Grant Application

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The City of Dubuque is applying for a 2017 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup grant to support remediation efforts at the contaminated property at 411 E. 15th Street, the former Blum Co. scrap yard and recycling facility.
 
Residents and stakeholders are invited to attend a public information meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, at the Prescott Neighborhood Resource Center located at 1151 White Street. At the meeting, City staff will discuss its Brownfields approach and accept comments on its application for the EPA Brownfields funds. Those unable to attend the meeting are invited to provide comment on the application by emailing engineer@cityofdubuque.org. 
 
A copy of the draft West Blum Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) is available for public review at www.cityofdubuque.org/beebranchbrownfieldcleanup and at City Hall located at 50 West 13th Street, or by contacting the City engineering department at 563-589-4270 to request a copy.
