INCIDENT TYPE: Residential Structure Fire
ADDRESS/LOCATION: 1585 Lucy Dr - Dubuque

The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at 2:27 PM. The Dubuque Fire Department was dispatched to the scene within 20 seconds. Initial responding vehicles included Engine 2, Medic 2, Engine 5, Engine 1, Truck 1, Truck 4, and Battalion 1. The response brought 17 firefighters in total for the fire. 

Engine 2 and Medic 2 arrived on scene within 4 minutes of dispatch reporting smoke coming from an attached garage. Dubuque Fire crews forced entry, established water supply, established incident command, searched, advanced 2 hose lines, extinguished the fire, ventilated smoke and heat, overhauled, and investigated. Fire crews had water on the fire within 4 minutes of arriving on scene. Residents were able to safely evacuate the home prior to the fire department's arrival. The home was determined to be uninhabitable. 

The investigation is ongoing, but initial findings suggest the cause to be unintentional, likely electrical in nature.  

The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department. There were no injuries to responders or occupants reported.
