City of Dubuque Canceling Solid Waste Collections on Saturday

Amended to specify FOUR extra bags allowed for Thursday setout customers on Dec. 4

Due to weather conditions predicted for tomorrow, the City of Dubuque is canceling the trash, recycling, yard waste, and food scrap collections scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29.

Thursday collection route customers should NOT set out materials for collection tomorrow and will be allowed to set out up to four extra bags of trash at no additional charge (no green tags needed) on their next collection day (Thursday, Dec. 4).

Originally, the Thursday collection route that was not serviced yesterday due to the holiday, was scheduled to be collected on Saturday, Nov. 29. By canceling collections tomorrow, it allows the City’s solid waste collection crews to assist the streets division with snow removal, and will eliminate accident risk for solid waste collection vehicles.
