City of Dubuque Health Department Seeking Dog Involved in Biting Incident

The City of Dubuque Health Services Department is seeking information regarding a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at about 8:30 A.M. The incident took place at the City of Dubuque Pet Park, located on North Grandview Avenue. The dog involved was accompanied by its owner. The owner is described as a Caucasian male in his 50s. The individual had three dogs in the park at the time of the incident. The dog involved is possibly named Buddy and is described as a large mixed-breed type dog, black and tan in color. One of the other dogs accompanying this owner was named Winnie and was a wirehaired mixed-breed type.
The Health Department needs the public's assistance in finding this dog to verify the dog’s health status and vaccination history. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Health Services Department at 563-589-4185 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or the Law Enforcement Center at 563-589-4415 after hours or on the weekend.
