INCIDENT TYPE: Residential Structure Fire
ADDRESS/LOCATION: 751 Alta Vista Street - Dubuque

The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:52 PM from a neighbor reporting smoke and fire coming from a detached garage. Initial responding vehicles included Battalion 1, Truck 4, Medic 4, Engine 1, Engine 5, Truck 1, and Engine 2. The response brought 17 firefighters in total for the fire. The Dubuque Fire Department had water on the fire at midnight. The fire was fully extinguished shortly after. 

The fire is under investigation and not suspicions in nature. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported. The residents were not displaced. initial property and content losses are estimated at $85,000

The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department.
