Iowa DOT Bridge Washing Causes Detour for Eastbound Traffic on Julien Dubuque Bridge
Due to bridge washing being performed by the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), the eastbound lanes of the Julien Dubuque Bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday, April 22, through Friday, April 25. The westbound lanes of the bridge will remain open.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured using U.S. Highways 61/151 to the Iowa-Wisconsin Bridge. Once in Wisconsin, traffic will use Wisconsin and Illinois state highways 35 to return to U.S. Highway 20 in East Dubuque.
Motorists will need to follow the posted detour and/or use a different route during this time. View a map of current closures/detours.
